This review is from: Chef's Choice Non-serrated Blade for Model 610 Food Slicer (Kitchen) This blade is a must have if you plan on slicing meat with the Chefs Choice 610. The slicer only includes a serrated blade which is great for bread and veggies but not the best for thin slices of meat. With this blade I am able to use the thinnest setting on the slicer to produce thin, even, deli quality style cuts. UPDATE: I have had this blade and the 610 since 2008 and both are still working like brand new. This is probably one of the best purchases I have ever made for my kitchen! Still, the price for both was very reasonable. I put this blade on and have thin shaved ham, Arby's like roast beef, deli chicken and turkey breasts that I have roasted myself. This blade is great for cheese too. The serrated edge works better for bread, and I like it better on partially frozen raw meat I'm slicing for like jerky, not sure why, but this one seems to do better on already cooked meat.
